Because I have a rediculous number of pictures from the Galapagos, I'll separate them into pictures from San Cristobal (the first island we stayed on), Santa Cruz (the cruise ship), and Santa Cruz (the second island we stayed on).

San Cristobal

Overhead view of the place where we went snorkling with the sea lions.

The Cruise

The ship (The Santa Cruz). During the filming of the movie 'Master and Commander: Far Side of the World', several crew and cast members chose to stay aboard this very ship during the filming that occured in the Galapagos. Trust me, on the inside it was much nicer than it looks from the outside.

Emergency drill. Like the life preservers?

Blue Feet

Juvenile Boobies

Juvenile Wanting to be Fed by its parent

Masked Booby

Juvenile Born with a mutated beak. According to our guide, as soon as its parents stop feeding it because it is old enough to feed itself it will die, because its curved beak prevents it from getting the food it needs.

Albatroses

Mockingbird

Sleeping Sea Lion

Mom and Pup

Galapagos Pinguins

White Tipped Reef Shark

Tortoise

Tortoises, doing exactly what it looks like. Nuff said.

Going down into the lava flow cave

Inside the cave. Caves such as this one were formed when the outside of flowing lava cooled and hardened while the hot inner lava continued to flow, leaving the hollow outer shell as a cave.

Hihi!
Awesome photos! I"m sorry I haven't sent you an email yet.. or whatever... I fail at stuff like that. And end up spending most of my time here... *rolls eyes* So here's my profuse apoligies.

How are you? What's up? Are you still comming to Fall Out Boy? School okay? Life okay?

Well.... ummm, *waves* I hope I've sort of made up for the lack of communication. ^_^

Caitlin.

Hey! Thanks, I checked out your pictures too, and they're great! I especially love the underwater ones, cause none of mine really turned out!
As far as I know I'm still going to Fall Out Boy... that is if I can manage to get my ticket from Tom? Must find a way to do that...

School's busy, life is stressful, same old, same old... How about you?

FISHES. (no obsession... never)

I talked to Tom about how to get tickets from him so we can actually get in and he said he'd call all of us sometime to arrange a place to meet, etc. etc. He might have my cell phone number, if not I'm going to give it to him other wise this is impossible. Anyway that's my basic plan... if you can think of a better one, or elaborate on it that would be awesome.

Yes.. life good. Stuff good. Sleepy though. -_-

okay... that should work for getting the tickets I guess.
The other day I was at the mall with a friend, and I was all like 'hey... I'm going to see the concert of a band that I've only heard 2 songs from. Maybe it would be a good idea to buy one of their CD's and check some more of their stuff out?'. So I did... and uh... emo eh?... I was a little surprised...
anyways, not so important I guess. Do you know who else is playing though? I'm suddenly wondering just what I've gotten myself into.

Oh yeah... just out of curiousity? Did you ever happen to get your clothes back from Ecuador? By mail I suppose?

Actually Emma informed me today of their appearent emo-ness. I don't really mind either. It'll be something new at the least. *shrug* I'll try not to hurt too many of them. ^_^ I'm going to a rave tomorrow night... so I can't really say that I have the most consistant likings in terms of style of music. Emo isn't really anything close to what I like though. My friend and I scalped tickets to the U2 concert on Monday (which was amazing) but the Dashboard Confessional opened for them.. and eh... They're not the most amazing. Whiny and not so good at playing their instruments, however they did improve as they progressed.

Yes, Patricia was excellent about sending me my clothing, it arrived about two weeks ago and I'm rather glad to have my clothing back.

[info]starry_eyed_kid

September 17 2005, 04:10:05 UTC 6 years ago

Yikes... that's quite a while to go without clothing. Unless you're a nudist. Then it wouldn't have seemed so bad. Although I wonder if they would let you into school? Probably not seeing as your school requires you to wear uniforms. At my school you only have to cover your midriff and shoulders. I wonder if that means it would be okay to leave the rest of yourself exposed so long as your shoulders and stomach were covered? I don't think I want to try it, just in case. My principal is insane, and I do not want to tempt her.

I usually listen to a broad variety of music as well, whatever I think sounds good really, but never before have I listened to emo. My friends will laugh at me for it later. That or disown me. Hmmm...

U2 eh? I'm not actually surprised, it was you who had the U2 ipod I believe? how much did it cost you though (for the tix, not the i-pod)? I know someone who bought some for nearly $400 which I think is a little rediculous! although I guess it would just depend on how loyal (or obsessed) you are.

[info]kitta_lin

September 18 2005, 18:07:07 UTC 6 years ago

Ha, definately not a nudist... trust me. But seeing as we have uniforms... I think I would be expelled. On "grub days" (yay normal clothing!) We have to have tank tops with straps three fingers wide, and any excess skin showing is cause for a uniform infraction. I don't mind.. because as opposed to the rest of my school I'm not an active whore. All principals are insane in some way or another.

Ummm, I went out with an emo kid for quite a few months... so I know good emo from bad emo atleast. And well, I don't listen to it, never really did, but it's hard to avoid when hanging out with someone who's into the scene fully. Oh, and yah I'll be disowned too so don't worry.

Hehe, yes indeed that was me. Umm, we scalped tickets so close to $400 yes, but somehow her father's company paid for it. I'm not sure how that worked. I'm not obsessed... but I'm definately loyal. I never really thought of myself as a HUGE fan, I just like the music. (most of it anyway) And as I said when you grow up with something...

Well, it's cool that you got to go see U2. I verrrrrrrrrrrrrry rarely get to go to concerts, however I am looking forewards to a dropkick murphy's show in November at the docks (there's still tickets left at ticketmaster if you're interested), which will be my 4th, large-ish venue concert if I include Fall Out Boy. Exciting, yes? *I need to get out more!*

Anyways, I must go analyse Robert Frost for english *sob*. See you in two weeks I guess? Oh yeah, has Tom called you yet?

[info]kitta_lin

September 19 2005, 02:17:27 UTC 6 years ago

I absolutely live for live music. *dies* DROPKICK MURPHY'S are comming back! That's awesome. I saw Flogging Molly play over the summer... which was amazing. I definately need to find me some tickets. I'm also going to see Social Distortion play Oct. 10th. *purrs* It's rather exciting.

We're studying Hamlet. Ugh. I don't mind Shakespeare but my teacher idolizes him as if he was a god. No wait, as if he were GOD. It's becomming increasingnly annoying. I want to study other things sometime. He wasn't the only author on earth worth studying. *le sigh* Another lovely week of school begins.

[info]starry_eyed_kid

September 19 2005, 03:54:30 UTC 6 years ago

We're not starting Hamlet till November, first we're doing Death of a Salesman *snore* and The Wars.

Flogging Molly... I've heard a little of their stuff... I prefer dropkick I think, but they are pretty good too. Don't know anything by Social Distortion though.
Dropkick Murphey's are on Nov. 18 (it's a Friday?), and tix are something like $20, which is friggin great! I was so upset I missed seeing them on the Warped Tour, I have no idea who else was playing, but I think I would have gone just to see them if I had been around.

Oooooh... wan't to hear something that makes me want to cry inside like the apparent emo-kid that I am? I found out last week that a (kinda) friend of mine won a bunch of tickets to the Green Day concert back in August, and on the day of he still had 2 or 3 he was looking to give away for free! He called me to see if I wanted one, but I wasn't home! *sob* That makes me sad.

Apparently he's also going to see Fall Out Boy. He was also at the Protest the Hero CD release show I went to a couple of weeks ago... and the Heatskore CD release I was supposed to be at last weekend that I didn't end up going to because something came up at the last minute. He also has an interesting habit of bumping into me around school... particularly when I'm about to leave and he wants a ride somewhere... *cough-stalker-cough*

[info]kitta_lin

September 20 2005, 00:57:18 UTC 6 years ago

I'm not sure which one I prefer... but I can say that Flogging Molly put on an excellent show. Social Distortion is a punk band which originated in the '80's and surprisingly is still alive :P No seriously, They were the first "real" concert I went to, having gone to see Tiger Army who were also playing, and had the best time of my life. I still think of it as the most fun I've ever had (atleast concert wise). ^_^ It was amazing. I lost a shoe, and got hit in the head with a beer can... but none of that seemed to matter. Sorry, I'm rambling, but you get the idea. They've broken up and got back together a few times, and last year released a new CD, which I think is my favourite of all of them. Despite the fact that their lead singer is atleast 40 and looks oddly strange/horrible in pictures, we(me + friends) have decided that he's rather sexy on stage. it's something to do with the way he moves. :P Ah. *stops* I think that about alot of people too.

Can I get them on ticketmaster by any chance? *bounces*

AWW! Man that sucks. I was going to try to see them in august... but it was the day I was comming home from somewhere or other and wouldn't have made it in time. -_-

Ha, silly stalkers. eeep. I've been described as slightly stalkerish sometimes. I'm trying not to be though, I just never know what to say to people.

As far as I know, ticketmaster still has tickets, that's where I got mine.

He's not really, but I just find it funny how he pops up everywhere. Now if he happens to show up at the murphy's show though... well... a bit much of a coincidence?

P.S. ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ Moo.

September 20 2005, 02:07:45 UTC 6 years ago

Excellent.

Still, creepy... atleast a little. >_>

The squrills put you up to it didn't they?

[info]starry_eyed_kid

September 21 2005, 00:18:12 UTC 6 years ago

The Squirells? oh no... they had nothing to do with it. Now the pigions on the other hand... be afraid... they're plotting to take over the world! Just like Pinky and the Brain brain brain brain, brain brain brain brain, brain brain brain brain, brain brain....

Huzzah for the 12 hour school day! 7:30am = music council, classes, then band until 7:30pm! I swear, I am a super uber band geek, and I'm not ashamed to admit it!

Ugh... need sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep...................

[info]kitta_lin

September 21 2005, 03:19:19 UTC 6 years ago

I know that feeling. *zonk*

I had class from 8:30am-10am today. If I don't find something to do I'm going to go insane. I did finish my model plane though. ^_^ And my essay for that matter.

Birds are so scary. Actually terrified.

September 25 2005, 04:16:33 UTC 6 years ago

Ok... I talked to Tom via MSN.
He wants to meet us between 6:30 and 6:45, cause doors are supposed to open then. Apparently it is Fall Out Boy annnnnnnnnd Motion City Soundtrack. Sound good to you? cause I'm excited as all hell!
But no kissey kissey with our dear emo boy, as he has apparently contracted mono. *tear* (like the emo kid he's turned me into... NOT)

Anywho... Dropkick Murphy's? Are you, aren't you? or undecided yet?

Pigeons... remember the ones in the Galapagos? with the creepy blue eyes and red rims? Those scared me, very much.

[info]kitta_lin

September 25 2005, 15:34:06 UTC 6 years ago

He doesn't want to line up before the doors open? *shrug* His choice, I don't really care. Sounds good to me though. Ooo! AND Motion City Soundtrack! Okay,. overly excited. I think it'll be really good, despite aforementioned emo-ness.
Haha, silly Tom. I had mono last year. SUCKED ASS. I hope it's not too bad and he can still come to the concert. I kept forcing myself to go to school and passing out/falling asleep on the floor/desk/health center bed. I tried to keep my average up by doing all my work and staying up late, which just wore me down and made me more sick. I hope he doesn't get carried away trying to do what I was. My average ended up dropping 10% in the first term. *sighs* Oh well.

I'm in, and I'm forcing a friend of mine to come too. I just need to actually buy tickets. It'll happen soon though so don't worry. ^_^

Eh. I HATE birds so much. They are so creepy. The ones there, the ones here. ALL OF THEM.
